Titan grows marketing arm with first head of insight

Titan Outdoor has appointed Joe Hall to the new role of head of insight as part of a move to boost the company’s marketing department. He takes over the role this week.

Hall joins the outdoor company from The Economist, where he was head of European and Asian res-earch programmes.

In his new role, he will work with clients to raise the profile of their research and he will also liaise with all areas of sales, across all products and offerings.

Etherington says Hall will focus on finding clever, creative and interesting ways to “unlock” research.

Hall is the latest in a number of appointments at the company including former JC Decaux executives Madalyn Roker, who has joined as business delivery director, and Graeme Hughes, who has taken over as commercial director of roadside. Nicola Campbell has also joined as group head of sales from Clear Channel.

Last month, Titan won the six-year advertising contract for St Pancras International station, which will reopen in November as the new Euro-star hub. At the same time it agreed a seven-year extension of its contract with South West Trains, which is thought to be worth more than £100m. It will control all poster and digital sites, sponsorships, promotions and exhibitions for SWT stations until 2017.
