TNT Post adds scent option to direct mail

TNT Post has launched a new package that enables its clients to add a scent to their direct mail.

The aroma is touch activated and the company believes the service will give users a greater return on investment and brand awareness.

The postal operator claims the service will increase campaign recall as the scent creates an immediate emotional engagement with the target audience.

A range of fragrances will be on offer and clients will have the opportunity to create their own signature aroma.

TNT Post UK chief executive Nick Wells says: “AdScents gives our clients the opportunity to get better cut-through while putting a smile on the face of their customers.”

The new service will be available in conjunction with Premier, PremierSort/Flex and Allsort services with a minimum order of 5,000 units.

Dutch-owned TNT Post has operated in the UK market since 2004 and is the second largest UK postal company behind the Royal Mail. TNT Post has suffered during recent postal strikes as it uses Royal Mail to carry out delivery over the final mile.
