Tomy appoints European directors

BYLN:

Tomy has appointed marketing directors for the UK, France and Benelux following the departure of product development and commercial director for Europe Lindsay Hardy to rival toy maker Hasbro.

In the changes following Hardy’s departure the Japanese-owned toy giant is appointing two heads of European brand development, Mari Knight and Mike Thomson,

who will also be involved in brand development for Tomy in the US.

The new UK marketing director is Clare Mallon, who moves up from marketing manager. She was previously marketing manager at the company having joined a year ago from sweet maker Trebor Bassett.

She reports to managing director David Campbell, who also joined the company last year as general manager of the nursery division from Procter & Gamble subsidiary Shulton. He was deputy managing director before being promoted.

Tomy European commercial manager Eric Rossi becomes regional marketing director for France and Benelux. He will report to president of Tomy Europe Alan Munn. Munn joined at the end of last year from Hasbro, where he was senior vice-president.

Both Mallon and Rossi will be responsible for toys and nursery products.

Tomy has been established for more than 70 years and distributes toys to more than 100 countries worldwide.
