Toyota and Lexus promote marketers

Lexus Great Britain general manager of marketing and strategy Mark Roden, has been appointed to the role of general manager for Toyota and Lexus fleet and vehicle remarketing.

He takes on the new position following the promotion of Richard Balshaw into the role of sales director.

Roden will begin the job on 1 September and report directly to Balshaw.

The car company is yet to announce a replacement for Roden’s role at Lexus. He has held the position since August 2006. Prior to that he was Toyota network general manager.

Roden joined the company in 1996 and began working in various field-based roles.

Other recent appointments in the automobile sector include Toyota Great Britain naming John Thomson as marketing director.

He returned after three years at Toyota Motor Europe (TME) where he was general manager, business planning and lean operations. He has also worked as senior manager, marketing.

Thomson took over from Mark Hall who moved on to take up a position at TME.
