Trillium Software release to provide data certainty

Business users and data stewards will be able to visualise and validate data quality more easily as a result of the latest version of Trillium Software. By providing a single, integrated solution for the complete lifecycle of data discovery and data quality, the release is intended to ensure the highest levels of data certainty.

The solution is intended to support collaboration between IT professionals, data stewards and line of business users in the writing and validation of business rules, data quality monitoring and data visualisation. Data quality projects can be organised by roles and responsibilities to ensure data that is critical to business processes is improved and verified at the right points.

Gartner analyst and vice-president Ted Friedman said: ““When evaluating offerings in this market, organisations must consider not only the breadth of functional capabilities relative to their requirements, but also the degree to which this functionality can be readily understood, managed and leveraged by non-IT resources, as well as how readily it can be embedded into business process workflows.”

He added: “In keeping with significant trends in data management, business roles such as data stewards will increasingly be responsible for managing the goals, rules, processes and metrics associated with data quality improvement initiatives.” Trillium Software has embedded its methodology of discover, develop, deploy and manage into the user interface to support this trend.
