She is currently sales and marketing director for the Scottish Daily Record and Sunday Mail.

The restructure means Tim Anderson, head of marketing for Mirror Group Newspapers, which houses the Daily Mirror, Sunday Mirror and The People will be leaving the business.

The changes also see John Howard, currently group circulation manager of the national titles, appointed to the new position of circulation director for the Nationals division with immediate effect.

Howard will have operational responsibility for the circulation management and development of the national newspaper titles.

Both Fraser and Howard will report directly to Mark Hollinshead, managing director Trinity Mirror Nationals.

John East, circulation director of MGN, is also to leave the business.

The average net circulation figures for June show the Daily Mirror rising slightly by 0.38% on the previous month to 1.33 million but down 10.28% for the period January to June, year-on-year.

The Daily Record dropped 0.96% month-on-month to 347,195 and was down 10.54% for the six months period, year-on-year.

Trinity Mirror has held the price of its national titles in the face of deep discounting from its News International rival, The Sun, which is currently 20 pence in the Carlton region.
