TUI UK reveals senior business and board structure

TUI UK, the company formed from the merger of TUI and First Choice, has revealed its senior business and board structure. It has also appointed former First Choice managing director Dermot Blastland to the same role at TUI.

Tim Williamson, the former First Choice marketing director, has been appointed as marketing director of the merged group over Thomson chief marketer Andrew Rayner. It is not clear if Rayner plans to stay with the group.

There are 11 board members who will head separate departments and be responsible for the travel company’s strategy and future business plans as well as driving through an integration strategy. The members include former First Choice Airways managing director Chris Browne who will head the airline department, former TUI new media director Graham Donoghue who will head new media and former TUI overseas director who will head the overseas department.

The TUI tour operator and airline head office will be based in Luton and separate overseas representatives for the Thomson and First Choice brand will be retained. The two airlines will be migrated on to the ThomsonFly Air Operating Certificate.
