Turner signs brand partners to pet awards

Turner Broadcasting has signed insurance company More Than and veterinary charity PDSA as brand partners at its inaugural Boomerang Pet Personality Awards.

Boomerang Pet Personality Awards

The awards, hosted by TV presenters Donna Air and Georgie Thompson, will be held this weekend (September 13). It has been devised by the channel to encourage children to learn how to take better care of their pets.

Boomerang launched a digital marketing campaign to support the awards, with the winning pet to be made into an animated character in a new cartoon series.

PDSA has signed up to be the event partner. It will have a Pet Check Van at the event which will act like a “mobile dog MOT service”, as well as two branded stalls. It will also have its logo also in on-air event promotions.

More Than will have a branded pet crèche area.

The awards, a free public event to be held in London’s Regent’s Park, will see Boomerang characters including Scooby Doo, Garfield, Bugs Bunny and Tweety Pie making an appearance.

It is the latest experiential activity for Turner this year which has also included Turner Classic Movies’ mass street dance event which recreated the famous dance scene from the movie Fame as part of a major rebrand campaign for the channel.
