Very’s four-year tie-up with Holly Willoughby ends

Very is set to end its partnership with Holly Willoughby as it shifts focus to new brands and designers after four years working with the TV presenter.

Willoughby has fronted campaigns for Very since the online retailer, which is owned by Shop Direct, launched back in 2009. But autumn 2013 will now be her last, while her clothing collections will only be available on the site until the end of December.

Very is now looking to work more closely with new designers, as well as Fearne Cotton, who has also been the face of the firm since its launch and recently expanded her collections into furniture and home.

The move comes as Very looks to extend its appeal beyond the young females it has typically attracted with the launch of its Definitions range. This collection, which targets older, professional women, will now be “front and centre” in Very’s marketing campaign as it moves into the autumn season.

Very retail director Jon Owen says: “Over the next few years, we’re looking forward to working even more closely with Fearne and some great new designers to build on Very’s successful position within the British fashion scene.

“We’re also really excited about our new Definitions range, which will be front and centre of our fashion advertising as we move into the autumn winter season.”
