Veterans promote WWII season

Discovery Channel has joined up with The Royal British Legion to promote its new World War II programming season.

TV spots will show the experiences of six veterans from conflicts past and present and will air on the channel during October and November in the run up to Remembrance Sunday.

Created by Discovery’s in-house creative team, the spots will be shown around key programming to commemorate 70 years since the start of World War II.

Veterans featuring in the TV spots include Philip Jenkinson, who served as a gunner in World War II, and Julian Speers, who served as a Major in Afghanistan and Iraq.

In other marketing activity, Discovery has created a new website and posters which will be distributed to the Legion’s 700 branches across the UK.
