Ben Carter was a marketing journalist before he set up his digital marketing consultancy in 2006. Clients included Setanta Sports, which hired him to devise its online marketing strategy. Setanta then took on Carter as head of online marketing after it won several football TV rights. He moved to former client Betfair, then Notonthehighstreet made him global marketing director in 2014, responsible for a £17m budget and a re-launch across all channels. At the start of 2016 he was appointed UK marketing director for food ordering service Just Eat.
