With a husband who flew private jets and working with luxury brands herself, Carol Cork brought both together to launch an online booking platform for charter aircraft, staking her house on the idea. Naysayers said the wealthy would never book jets online and even told her red would not work in the company’s logo. She proved them wrong on both counts. Before PrivateFly, Cork says her career high was launching Glamour magazine as Conde Nast’s promotions director.
