Jenny Ashmore was previously energy firm SSE’s first chief marketing officer in July 2013. She has also held senior marketing roles at Yell, Procter & Gamble and Mars. Ashmore admits SSE has not always got its messaging right over industry issues but the company has now introduced a price freeze on standard energy prices until at least 2016 to address the concerns of customers. Ashmore has a reputation for building communities around brands, establishing the Pampers website as the top parenting portal in the early noughties.
