Jon Goldstone was key to Unilever’s “seven-figure” sponsorship of Guardian Labs – the media owner’s innovative push into native advertising – to promote Unilever’s sustainability message. Goldstone joined Unilever in 2012 to lead the marketing for the company’s portfolio of food and ice cream brands, including Ben & Jerry’s and Wall’s. He has more than 20 years of FMCG experience, having worked for Kraft, Coca-Cola, PepsiCo and Premier Foods.
Biggest challenge: "Moving out to Croatia to work for Coca-Cola. Working on a start-up for the best known brand in the world was great fun; it gave me confidence in my judgement and leadership as I had very little data to play with, and I had to work through a team as I couldn't speak the language."
