Michael Magee’s focus has moved from the UK to a more international remit. Aside from simply having a wider consumer base to market to, he says that leading across a diverse spread of 52 markets in Europe and Eurasia with very challenging political and economic circumstances is a lot to contend with. Magee is a Fellow of The Marketing Society, honoured in 2014 for ‘bold leadership’, which he says is about “trying new things and doing things you know are successful, even if they might be seen as boring”. He is also a mentor for The Marketing Academy and sits on the regional leadership team for Europe and Eurasia, as well as the global marketing leadership team for Mars Chocolate.
