Sara Bennison became CMO of Nationwide in March 2016, continuing an impressive career at the sharp-end of financial services marketing. In her previous role as marketing director at Barclays she pioneered competitions to help small businesses get off the ground as well as an online game that takes the bank’s financial literacy programme to thousands of young people. She also serves as vice-chair of ISBA, is a member of the General Media Panel for the ASA and treasurer of the Advertising Association’s Front Foot initiative. She cites her biggest challenge as “fitting everything I want to do in”.
