Sara Holt is extremely driven, reading three marketing books on the go while scanning for more reading material on blogs, Twitter and LinkedIn. It has paid off: four years ago she was nominated Marketing Society Young Marketer of the Year, and in March 2014, BBC Worldwide poached her from taxi app Hailo to be its head of brand and global campaigns. She is now VP of marketing at BBC Store and BBC Worldwide and was most recently responsible for the launch of its digital video store using the strapline ‘Making the unmissable, ownable’.
Lightbulb moment: "The future's already here – it is just not evenly distributed. Our audiences aren't innovators. They are just spending more of their time and lives online and being shown ways to do things better. Marketing isn't innovating fast enough to keep up with the future that is already here."
