People are encouraged to upload their ’minute’ to the website (www.enjoyengland.com/minute), with the video with the highest ratings from the public receiving a prize of 10,000 minutes of holiday.

The competition is part of the spring phase of the UK marketing campaign, ’Enjoy Every Minute; Enjoy England’. This is the third burst of activity from the campaign, following on from activity in April and September last year.

This year’s television ads will run until the end of April, and will be accompanied by national press, editorial supplements, public relations and online marketing.

Though there will be no more TV ads this year, VisitEngland’s September push will involve work with national media such as The Guardian and The Daily Telegraph. There will also be online activity, with a collection of the best ’minutes’.

VisitEngland was previously a department within VisitBritain but is now an independent body with a remit to market the country domestically. VisitEngland continues to use its Enjoy England consumer brand in the domestic market and will market England under the VisitEngland brand in international markets.
