Kerry Foods has consolidated its £13m media account for the UK and Ireland into Vizeum, following a three-way pitch. It went up against the other incumbents on the account, Universal McCann and Starcom Mediavest Group.

The pitch process, handled by the ARR, began in May when Kerry Foods made the decision to consolidate its business into one agency.

It was previously split between Universal and Vizeum, while Starcom held the business in Ireland. It is thought that Vizeum will now work on product launches in other European markets.

In March, Kerry Foods held a review of its £5m advertising business for its Cheesestrings brand, less than a year after incumbent Quiet Storm kept the account after an abortive review.

The company is hoping to change consumer perceptions of Cheesestrings and highlight its “nutritional credentials”. The pitch followed the appointment of Kelly Rafferty as marketing manager at the end of 2007. Fallon was appointed to the account in May.
