Voucher industry trade body reveals board line-up

The UK Gift Card and Voucher Association (UKGCVA), the trade body representing the UK’s gift card industry, has revealed new additions to its board.

Tony Rich from Halfords, John Bohan of Marks & Spencer, Bill Alexander from Red Letter Days and Denise Porter of treatme.net join the board to share responsibility for directing the policy and operation of UKGCVA.

The board plans to further develop project groups which launched last year and develop the body’s relationship with the FSA (Financial Services Authority) and the Treasury.

Porter joins Rachelle Smith of PrePay Solutions as Co-Chair.

The new board members join Wayne Harrington of Edenred, Kevin Lake of Countdown, and Caroline Watson of Voucher Line.

UKGCVA represents the £4 billion voucher, gift card and stored
value solutions industry and invest in industry research and data.

Andrew Johnson, director general of The UKGCVA, says: “The newly elected board offers a wealth of experience and a variety of skills which will take us to the next level within this ever-developing market, continuing our flourishing success for the next 12 months.

“This year the new members of the executive board represent a unique mix of processors, agencies and retailers. Our strong representation on the high street, with e-retailers and with industry service providers in both the executive committee and among our full member network continues to drive the Association forward as the authoritative voice on the industry.”
