VW claims commercial range is sound investment

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles is launching a marketing campaign as part of a strategy that aims to reposition its vehicles as sound investments.

The digital, press, retail and radio activity, the latter voiced by Ray Winstone, uses the new strapline “very commercial vehicles”, which replaces the “let’s go to work” strapline.

Mark Hopkins, marketing communications manager of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, says the campaign aims to communicate that its vans are “sound commercial investments”.

The activity will run alongside a campaign to promote its lifestyle vehicles, which started this month. The ads aim to push the modern relevance and comfort of the Volkswagen’s lifestyle vehicles.

Iris won the £8m VW commercial vehicles integrated marketing business in February.
