Wall Street Journal to open London-based editorial team

The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) is boosting its online presence in Europe by introducing a London-based editorial team.

The Dow Jones-owned newspaper is looking to bolster is operations in territories outside the US, with online revamps set for the European and Asian markets.

The renewed push into Europe builds on WSJ.com’s redesign in September last year.

The changes include simpler navigation, more rich content including video and podcasts and increased country specific news.

Andrew Langhoff, publisher of The Wall Street Journal Europe, said the site would draw on a global network of reporters, “The launch of Europe WSJ.com demonstrates our continuing commitment and investment in the region, and gives our regional audience even greater access to the news and analysis they need most.”
