Warburtons hands ad business to Rainey Kelly

Warburtons has appointed Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe/Y&R to handle its advertising business as the market leading bread brand’s position comes under pressure from Hovis.

RKCR/Y&R replaces BBH on the account. The last brand campaign developed by the incumbent was a TV-led initiative under the banner “Britain’s favourite baker”.”

Premier Foods saw an uplift in sales this year for Hovis that it attributes in part to its 122 second heritage ad, created by Miles Calcraft Briginshaw Duffy.

Warburtons biggest-ever on-pack promotion called the “Save Tons on Lunch” comes to an end this month.
