Windows Phone 7 first to “takeover” Westfield marketing

Microsoft’s newly launched range of Windows Phone 7 handsets is the first brand to ’takeover’ Westfield London shopping Centre.

The outdoor campaign sees Microsoft buy Ocean Outdoor’s “Westfield domination” package.

The campaign begins today (25 October) and lasts for two weeks, Windows Phone 7 branding will takeover five screens and three static sites at the shopping cenre.

The campaign is part of Microsoft’s $400 million (£250m) spend on promoting the Windows Phone 7 handsets.

The brand is the main sponsor of the London Film Festival and showcased its Windows Phone 7 Seven Second Movie Challenge at Westfield London over the weekend.

Westfield London, based in White City, attracted over 23 million shoppers last year, with an estimated spending power of nearing £1billion.
