With spring comes our fresh new look and details for MW Live 2013

As befits the arrival of spring, Marketing Week is rolling out a fistful of new initiatives to ensure we remain an essential partner in helping marketers deliver great creativity and business results.

First, the print publication has a fresh new design, its first makeover in four years. The new look should make it more pleasurable to read and digest the information and provide a clear pathway through the magazine. All the regular features, such as columnists Mark Ritson and The Secret Marketer, are present alongside in-depth articles, trends and case studies to inspire the marketing community.

Speaking of inspiration, we also unveil an initiative from Marketing Week’s publisher, Centaur, in this issue in the form of The Matrix.

This project is designed to address the needs of the most senior marketers who are looking for a community where they can find the latest marketing theories, thinking on pressing issues important to effective leadership and opportunities for that all-important face-to-face networking.

The Matrix is an invitation-only community and you can learn more about it in this article that delves into the evolving remit of the chief marketing officer.

If that’s not enough, plans are now fully laid for what will be the most cohesive and useful live manifestation of Marketing Week’s values – Marketing Week Live (MWL).

The annual two-day event at Olympia London will be a fantastic opportunity to catch up with the new developments across all marketing channels and learn about the latest technology and tools that could give you a competitive advantage.

Amazing speakers from brands such as Starbucks, Barclays and Virgin Atlantic will be presenting at this free event on 26 and 27 June. There won’t be a better chance to find all the elements that will inspire you to improve your skills, talents and business performance. Find more details here.

At MWL we’ll be exploring the themes raised in the Marketing Week/Econsultancy Modern Marketing Manifesto unveiled last week. There’s been plenty of feedback on this, but make sure you read the manifesto first here.

That’s plenty to digest but the underlying message is that we have a pipeline of exciting new events, products and content on the way. Keep an eye out for more announcements soon.
