Witness the biggest bash of all

So Christmas has been and gone and the Diary’s new year’s resolution is to make less references to relatively obscure 1980s bands, so it’s with a mighty wah that it brings this story of pre-Christmas tomfoolery.

The Saatchi & Saatchi snowball fight is becoming as much an institution as the Queen’s speech and Raymond Briggs’ The Snowman, and last year’s event somehow managed to avoid descending into brutal, mindless violence, despite the threatening poses shown by some of the attendees (you can see the offenders in the picture).

The Diary is used to hearing stories of bashes in the advertising industry where a white, powdery substance is passed around like it’s going out of fashion, but the fact that a few of the snowball fighters reported finding “snow” in their underwear the following morning, suggests to the Diary that this was no ordinary festive get-together. So, er, any chance of the Diary getting an invite for this year’s shindig?
