WPP acquires Red Dot Square Solutions

WPPWPP Group, the second largest marketing services group, has acquired UK based retail customer behaviour research agency Red Dot Square Solutions.

WPP says the deal was struck ahead of its £1.1bn acquisition of market research group Taylor Nelson Sofres last autumn.

Virtual in-store research agency Red Dot Square was launched in 2006 by current president Mark Edwards and its clients now include include Safeway, Tesco, Walgreens and Wal-Mart.

Red Dot Square will operate within Kantar, WPP’s global insight, information and consultancy division.
