Yahoo! UK & Ireland has promoted Lindsay Biggart to marketing director as part of a restructure.

Biggart, previously brand manager for Yahoo! UK and Ireland, will oversee all consumer and trade marketing, research and public relations.

She will report to Martina King, managing director of Yahoo! UK and Ireland. Yahoo! will not comment on whether Biggart plans to review Yahoo!’s creative account, which is held by HHCL & Partners in the UK.

Before joining Yahoo! last year, Biggart was head of group marketing and PR at Telstar Entertainment.

Biggart’s appointment follows a European restructure earlier this year which resulted in the promotion of UK marketing chief Catherine Taylor to European marketing director and European sales director Fru Hazlitt to the new role of European sales and marketing director.

The restructure will also see the promotion of sales director Lee Thompson to the new position of commercial director with responsibility for the company’s strategic direction and revenue generation.

Head of business development James Bilefield will now be director of products and services, while Alick Mighall will be promoted from senior producer to head of production, and report directly to Bilefield.

King says: “I am pleased the breadth of young talent at Yahoo! UK & Ireland is being recognised in this restructure.”
