Yahoo Europe has partnered with Twentieth Century Fox to promote the launch of Baz Luhrmann’s film Australia on DVD.
The campaign aims to engage the online community by featuring the filmmaker posing the question “If you could influence the next film I make or the next story I tell, what would you encourage me to do?” to the Yahoo Answers community.
Yahoo UK and Germany will also host a competition to win a holiday to Australia, in partnership with Tourism Australia.
A specially created hub will house content created from the film including a gallery of stills, a video archive and a walkabout interactive guide enabling users to walk through each scene of the film.
Warren Burke, commercial director at Yahoo Global Sales, said, “This is a great example of the client, agency and media owner all working together to produce a content-rich website from which users can really live the Australia experience.”
