Yell is launching James Nesbitt ads

Yell is launching an advertising campaign starring actor James Nesbitt – the first to feature the full range of the company’s products. The campaign, which breaks this week, will promote Yellow Pages, Yell.com and 118 247 using the strapline ‘Whatever you want – just Yell’. Four television ads will be the central part of a campaign, which also includes outdoor, radio, direct marketing and PR activity. The campaign was created by Abbott Mead Vickers.BBDO, with media planning and buying by PHD. One of the 40-second ad features three central characters, including Nesbitt, bragging over a drink with friends about their days as bikers. After arranging to meet to recapture their lost youth, the ad shows them each using a different Yell product to find biking equipment and book riding lessons. They bump into each other at a bikers class for beginners and the ad ends with Nesbitt careering into a set of plastic chairs.
