Yellow M in £5m used car retailer drive

Used car supermarket Concept Automotive Services has appointed Yellow M to handle a &£5m campaign rebranding it as CarLand.

The company previously used Caters, which specialises in ads for the specialist press.

The outdoor, radio, press and direct response television ads will break next month.

The company is also launching a Website – carland.co.uk – to offer services such as financing and car valuations, and maps to reach its nine sites around the country.

CarLand is to open more UK stores, and plans to sell new cars at a lower price than traditional retailers if the block exemption is lifted.

CarLand marketing director Alistair Welham expects to increase its media spend next year. He says: “We have stated that we have an ambition to grow by 30 per cent a year. There is a great opportunity in the market for quality used cars.”

CarLand was acquired last year by Concept.

CarLand’s media is bought by MediaVest Manchester.
