Yellow Pages launches DJs into limelight

Norwich mobile disco CD Beat Roadshow is poised for stardom thanks to Yellow Pages.

DJ partners Dave Cooper and Phil Bardwell beat 48,000 small business entrants in a Yellow Pages competition to claim the top prize of a 30-second TV ad.

Dave and Phil, who have only ever advertised in Yellow Pages, will be leaving the weddings, kids parties and bar mitzvahs behind to star in the ad created by London agency Manifesto.

The ad will be screened in the commercial break of Coronation Street on August 20, as well as in their local cinema, Norwich ABC.

Yellow Pages thinks CD Beat Roadshow is the smallest business ever to advertise on British television. It has accordingly lavished VIP treatment on Dave and Phil, including a premiere party for their ad at Caistor Hall, a stately home in Norwich. As the advertising slogan goes, “Good old Yellow Pages”.
