National Australia Bank has signalled it will close Yorkshire Bank and merge it with Clydesdale. It will also offload its banks in Northern Ireland and Eire and abandon plans to roll out in the South-east.
The retailer, which has traditionally focused on in-store shopping only, also plans to roll out its click-and-collect initiative to all stores in Great Britain.
