Zoopla gets property email timing right

Property website Zoopla has signed up for a new email marketing tool that optimises the timing of message delivery.

Pure360 is working with the brand owner to ensure that email alerts are sent at a time that suits users of the website, based on a learning algorithm. This tracks when individuals open emails and uses the data to schedule future deliveries.

Doug Monro, COO at Zoopla.co.uk, said: “Pure360 have an innovative approach and a range of services and tools which will help increase our open rate and allow us to test responses and efficiently communicate with our users.”

Part of the property portal’s proposition is providing unique information-based features, such as AskMe! and TemptMe!, which deliver insights into the property market. The ability to align email delivery with time preferences fits with this service proposition.

Getting influencers on side is key to modern marketing

Marketing Week

I don’t think anyone would argue with the power of “word of mouth” (“Conversations on brands are vital”, MW last week), although this research is further ammunition against those that would doubt it. Personal endorsement is the best form of marketing you can get. On top of this, the arrival of social media has made it an even more important area for marketers to understand and harness.
