Outdoor advertising is no longer the preserve of big brands with big budgets: Signkick, founded in 2012 by Sebastiaan Heijne, Tobias van Amstel and Sebastiaan Schinkel, lets small businesses or sole traders find and book local billboard, bus shelter or phone box spots, choosing from thousands of UK sites.

After typing their postcode into the website, companies can find options on a map, send in their ad artwork and Signkick takes care of printing and production, with prices starting at £160 for two weeks.

The company also offers a business-to-business service, where companies can book campaigns on behalf of clients, using the site as an aggregator and managing ads via an online dashboard.

Brands or agencies can add other data to their dashboard, such as location information, social media feeds and live reporting, and link it to their customer relationship management systems too.
