Marketing manager, Filtered

Towards the end of my psychology degree I was looking for suitable careers and one of them was marketing. I didn’t entirely understand what it meant, but it seemed to have a good balance of creativity and analysis so I thought I’d give it a go. Over three years later I don’t regret my choice.

When I was at school marketing was the furthest thing from my mind, so educating children on what marketing looks like would be my first step to inspiring them. Where in their lives can they observe marketing? What about a school event, how would you get as many students to attend as possible? What influencers could you identify, would flyers work? I think making it relatable is important in allowing the children to see it as a viable career path for them.
