The football club secured the championship last night (22 April) by beating Aston Villa 3-0 at Old Trafford.

The victory sees the club reaffirm its position as the most successful football team in England and was hailed by sponsors through tactical campaigns.

Nike, the club’s kit manufacturer, tweeted: 20 and counting. Winning is never done. #beyondvictory” alongside a picture of several players with the caption ‘To Be Continued’.

Elsewhere, United’s official betting partner Bwin ran a picture on its website congratulating the players. After the match last night it tweeted: “Full-Time at Old Trafford and it’s Manchester United 3-0 Aston Villa. Manchester United have secured a 20th league title #Champions #MUFC” from its official United branded Twitter profile.

The win was also referenced by Adidas after its brand ambassador Robin van Persie scored a first half hat-trick to secure the league. The brand tweeted a series of congratulatory messages to the striker while also linking it to its global ‘All In’ marketing strategy.
