A finance director online? The public will be heard

Does the stereotypically stuffy world of finance have a place in the flashy world of new media? No, that’s not a hypothetical question, but one actually posed by Clark McKay & Walpole.

The direct marketing agency is holding a public vote to see whether its financial director, the so-called (the Diary has been reliably informed) “shiny-headed” Benn Dunn, warrants a place on the “People Page” of the company’s new website.

In case you’re finding the decision harder than you first thought, here’s a comment from a source within CMW, which is actually pretty ambiguous in terms of whether it should help or hinder Benn’s case: “On the one hand he is a top notch financial director with a great collection of watches, but on the other he’s a Chelsea fan who has yet to pay our expenses.”
