BSkyB has appointed Diffiniti and Unique to its online search marketing roster. The two agencies were selected following a four-way pitch against The Search Works and incumbent i-level.
The two agencies have been tasked with providing strategic and tactical support across pay-per-click, search engine optimisation and natural search. The agencies will work together but have bespoke briefs based on their areas of expertise.
Scott Gallacher, Sky’s director of online and partnership marketing says the satellite operator “needed” to broaden its expertise because of the “growing complexity” of search and a “significantly” revised strategy.
I-level will continue to work on the account during a transition period and alongside its continuing display and affiliate activity brief.
