Suzuki Automobiles is launching its new Alto with a pan-European campaign breaking today (16 February).
The campaign has been created by Nexus/H and features the Blondie song One Way or Another.
The ad focuses on the fun of driving the new Alto rather than the functional reasons such as shopping and the school, run. The car drivers are participating in a game where they have to drive from point A to point B discovering giant letters en route. The strapline is “The new Suzuki Also – the perfect way from A to B”.
The Alto campaign also embraces press, outdoor and online activity and a direct mail campaign.
Nexus / H has previously created a global TV campaign for the Suzuki Grand Vitara and a pan-European campaign for the SX4 model.
Like many of its rivals, Suzuki did not appear at the International Auto Show in Detroit last month. Car manufacturers are revising their marketing budgets in the face of falling car sales.
