Prudential UK marketing director Ali Crossley (pictured) is to leave at the end of this month after six years with the company.
She is to take up the role of chief operating officer at Saga Financial Services and will team up with former Prudential UK marketing director Roger Ramsden who joined Saga Services as chief executive last year.
A spokesman for Prudential says Crossley will not be replaced and those people reporting to her will now report to their related business units.
He adds the UK central marketing department will continue as it was and report to managing director of retail life and pensions Barry O’Dwyer.
Crossley was promoted to the top UK marketing job in 2007 after the departure of Angus MacIver, who left to join Morrisons as group marketing and communications director in 2007.
She was previously director of lifetime mortgages at the insurance and investment firm.
The news of Crossley’s departure comes after Prudential recently reported total group insurance sales rose 5% to £3.02bn last year with sales in its UK retail division up 10% to £803m.
The Prudential, famed for its iconic “The Man from the Pru” strapline, rebranded its healthcare joint venture PruHealth to include brand character Prudence in order to draw on its heritage of trust and product innovation.
Prudential’s lead advertising agency is WCRS.
