Ibuyeco appoints ex-Pizza Hut director to lead growth

Former Pizza Hut marketing director David Lundholm has resurfaced at carbon- neutral car-insurance provider ibuyeco.

Lundholm has been appointed by the parent company BGL Group to the newly-created role of director. He joins from Aviva, where he was innovation programme director at Norwich Union, and has been briefed to reinforce ibuyeco’s position at the head of the carbon neutral car-insurance market. He will be based at BGL’s headquarters in Peterborough and will report to managing director Matthew Gledhill.

Lundholm says: “My goal will be to sustain and    increase growth, confirming ibuyeco’s position as the leader in carbon-neutral car insurance.”

Before joining Aviva for a second spell, he was at Asserta Holdings, where he was managing director of Propertyfinder and a non-executive director.

In his first spell at Aviva, formerly CGNU and CGU[before a merger with Norwich Union], between 2000-2003, he was marketing and customer-relationship management director and managing director of assertahome and Propertyfinder.

In 1998 Lundholm was appointed marketing director at Pizza Hut UK from parent company Tricon Restaurants International (TRI).

He worked at TRI for ten years, and was previously marketing director for Southern Europe and North Africa. TRI, which split from PepsiCo in 1997, also owns Kentucky Fried Chicken and Taco Bell.
