X Factor triumphs on TV and online
The X Factor, ITV1’s flagship weekend programme, saw audience viewing figures peak at 19.1m for the series’ final last night (13 December).
Average audience viewing figures were 15.5m for the two hour show.
Last night’s show, sponsored by Talk Talk, grabbed an audience share of 62% at its peak and its average share was 53%.
The 2009 show has been the most watched ever series of The X Factor and ITV1 has registered average viewing figures up 2m on last year to 11.8m, equivalent to a 45.4% share.
ITV.com’s The X Factor page also saw a boost of 22% in page views to 95 m and unique users shot up 77% to average 821,000 across the series.
Video views of the series topped 30.5m, up 61% on last year. Across the past weekend, the site saw 1.9m clip views, up 18% year on year.

The following ITV1 show I Dreamed A Dream – The Susan Boyle Story, benefitted from a halo effect and recorded an average of 10m viewers, a 39% share.
