Energy supplier npower is rolling out its orb character icons across multiple platforms as it ramps up marketing activity both off-and online.
As part of the company’s stated aim of becoming “a successful challenger brand to British Gas”, npower is rolling a swathe of marketing activity around its brand icons, the orbs, which represent electricity and gas.
The company is rolling out a national 30-second advertisement across Sky and terrestrial television channels to promote npower’s fixed-price tariff. The execution features the orbs preparing to do battle against price increases using the tariff with a voice-over by Richard Bryers.
The TV campaign will be supported by 48-sheet national posters featuring the orbs as “Your local heroes”, which launch on May 8.
