Red Letter Days appoints Hard Rock boss as marketing chief

Red Letter Days has appointed Hard Rock Cafe’s European marketing director Zachary Soreff as its new director of sales and marketing.

He joins Red Letter Days with overall responsibility for the implementation of the sales and marketing strategy, and communicating the company’s core offering of experiences to both the corporate and consumer markets.

Soreff will be the first marketing director the gift and experience supplier has had since Isabelle Ratinaud left last year to join online travel firm Opodo as its European marketing chief.

Soreff has also held roles within EMAP and EMAP Digital. As brand development director at EMAP he led an entrepreneurial division creating revenue-led partnerships between EMAP’s media portfolio, including Kiss, FHM, Empire, Heat and Smash Hits, with consumer products licensees and interactive and mobile groups, along with leading packaged goods brands. As the head of marketing and communications for EMAP Digital, Zachary was responsible for the online, interactive and mobile business.

Following last year’s buy-out of Red Letter Days by Peter Jones and Theo Paphitis of BBC’s Dragon’s Den, Zachary’s role at Red Letter Days will see him focus on extending the brand’s share of the corporate experience market.
