Superdrug offers value for money dentistry

High street health and beauty retailer Superdrug will launch dental services later this month. The trial service, which will be available in three stores, is being launched with dental company SmileStore.

The retailer will offer teeth whitening, breath freshening and hygienist treatments, which will be carried out in consultation rooms and cost from £35 to £350.

Superdrug trading director Jeff Wemyss says the service aims to be a convenient and value for money alternative to “designer” cosmetic dentistry clinics.

He says: “We don’t expect customers to stop going to their usual dentist, but to use our services as an addition to their normal dental routine.”

The retailer’s London Kensington High Street store will start offering treatments this week before the trial is extended to branches in Milton Keynes and Brighton at the end of the month.
