Ennals leaves Digital UK for Nike

Digital UK chief executive Ford Ennals is leaving the digital switchover body to join sportswear giant Nike as president of footwear and leather goods. The news comes just weeks after the analogue switch-off began.

Ennals told staff in an e-mail that he would be leaving in February. He said: “This has been an extremely difficult decision to take as I have thoroughly enjoyed the nearly three years I have been working at Digital UK. There is never a good time to leave a business you love but I do take comfort that digital switchover is right on track and Digital UK is successful and stable.”

Ennals worked at Mars and Reebok before joining Digital UK.
