Sky1 promotes new look and schedule

Sky1 has launched a multi-platform campaign to promote its autumn schedule and new “on-air” look. It aims to highlight the channel’s positioning of Sky’s flagship entertainment channel.

The campaign will run across outdoor, print, online and TV, starting today (August 27). The ads will feature Ross Kemp, Denise Van Outen, Noel Edmonds, Wayne Rooney and the Gladiators, and is part of the “channel’s most brand-significant refresh since launch”.

The through-the-line campaign has been developed and supported by a roster of agencies including Brothers and Sisters, Red Brick Road, Altogether, Mediacom and Naked Lunch.

It will include a dedicated TV ad for new entertainment series Hairspray: The School Musical. There will also be specific executions for series such as Ross Kemp On Gangs and Prison Break. It includes new logos and promos, which will roll out from 31 August.

Alex Lewis, director of marketing and communications for Sky networks, says that the campaign will “showcase the range of exclusive programming on Sky1”.
