Bauers TV title takes top spot

TV Choice has retained the top spot as the most actively purchased magazine title but all titles in the top five saw numbers fall except recent newcomer Saga Magazine, as measured in today’s ABC consumer magazine figures.

The top five continues to be dominated by TV listing magazines, with TV Choice, What’s On TV, Radio Times and Take A Break taking four of the top slots and Saga taking fifth place,

Saga saw average net circulation jump 0.4 per cent period-on-period and 4% year on year to stand at 651,910. The title broke into the top five last period, replacing Reader’s Digest.

H Bauer’s TV Choice overtook IPC’s What’s On TV last period. It has dropped circulation slightly by 0.7% period on period but still rides high at 1,393,261 copies. What’s On TV saw a bigger fall of 2.9% on the period and 5.4% year-on-year to 1,345,541.

Radio Times saw a larger drop of 3.2% period on period to an average net circulation of 1,003,016 and Bauer’s Take A Break fell 1.5% to 973,234.

As well as Saga Magazine, TV Choice is up by 0.2% year on year. The other titles have all seen circulation figures fall.

In the wider top ten, in the actively purchased category, only Glamour at number nine has seen a small period-on-period gain while OK! magazine, at number seven, saw the biggest drop, falling 9.6% to 547,953.
