BDP joint managing director goes

Ian Zak, the joint managing director of Business Development Partnership the sales promotion company, has left the agency. It declined to comment upon the reason for departure. “We can confirm Ian Zak has left the company. It is an internal and confidential matter and we will make no further comment,” says a BDP spokesman.

BDP is being sued by Abbey National for work that it alleges was never done or for which it was overcharged (MW November 25). Zak was also named as a defendant. Abbey National has issued proceedings against six other defendents who have acted as Abbey National suppliers and its former marketing services manager Mike Doyle. BDP has counterclaimed for £102,000 of unpaid bills.

Joint managing director Chris Knight has taken control of BDP. Zak was unavailable for comment.
